Papa John's Pizza

I saw this pizza joint in Shanghai last year while there on vacation. Didn't think much of it until my sister told me it was absolutely delicious, much better than the usual Dominos Pizza and Pizza Hut. So I decided to try it out before coming back to Malaysia. I never got down to doing it though. On the night we decided to try it, we couldn't find one nearby so we ended up in a Pizza Hut. :( Can you imagine, Nanjing Road in Shanghai is a very, very long and popular pedestrian mall and it had something like 3 Pizza Huts along the road but no Papa John's.

Anyway, to my pleasant surprise, Papa John's came to Malaysia a few months after that. My wife and kids have been pestering me to go try it since then. Never got down to it as it's located in Berjaya Times Square and I don't like going there.

I had to go to YL Camera to get some stuff today and my wife and kids were with me, so it was the best time to go try Papa John's at last. Here's Papa John's in Berjaya Times Square.





There's a promotion going on right now. It's called the Merdeka Deal. The deal I took was two 9" pizzas, a platter with onion rings+chicken wings+wedges, a plate of spaghetti bolognaise and 4 glasses of ice lemon tea. All that for a very low price of rm49.90. Best thing is, Papa John's does thin crust pizza and I looooooooooooove thin crust. Pizza Hut and Dominos don't do proper thin crust pizza. I ordered Texas Heat and paid rm2 to upgrade it to thin crust style. Wanted to take a picture of everything but everyone was just too hungry. LOL. I managed to get a picture of the Texas Heat thin crust pizza though. Here it is.



Yummy yum yum! It was most delicious. I only hope they open up more branches as I hate going all the way to Berjaya Times Square. I don't think I will ever go to Pizza Hut and Dominos again if Papa John's opens a joint nearer to my home.
